Uttaran, Western Sydney Durga Puja 

Durga Puja is one of the major festival for the Indian community living in Sydney, Australia. Uttaran started celebrating Durga Puja in Sydney in 1998 in Plumpton. From 2004 onwards Durga Puja is being celebrated in a much bigger way. Last year more than 2000 people enjoyed Durga Puja in Sydney organized by Uttaran. Uttarn is the first Durga Puja Committee in Australia to make its own Protima (Idol). Western Sydney Uttaran Durga Puja is famous worldwide among the Bengali Community.
